Don Klingen, MD

President, Main Line HealthCare

Dr. Donald Klingen serves as the President of Main Line HealthCare (MLHC), the employed physician and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) subsidiary of Main Line Health. In this role, he is chiefly responsible for the strategy, growth, and operations of MLHC. Since assuming leadership in 2024, Dr. Klingen has advanced the system's strategy by guiding MLHC's expansion from established strengths in primary care, cardiology, and women's health into surgical and medical sub-specialties.

Dr. Klingen has been part of Main Line Health since 2011, holding multiple key leadership positions. He led the implementation of Epic at MLH and previously served as the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO). Additionally, he is dual board-certified in Family Medicine and Clinical Informatics.

Dr. Klingen earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and his medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. He completed his residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center and pursued a fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University. He also holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Medical Informatics from Oregon Health and Science University.
