Mental health levels of care
Inpatient Psychiatric Care
The Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Bryn Mawr Hospital provides care for adults (age 18 and older) struggling with mood, anxiety and thought disorders, co-occurring substance abuse or addiction, and other psychiatric conditions. Treatment begins with comprehensive psychiatric and physical evaluations, then a personalized program is developed.
Partial Hospitalization Program
Partial hospitalization programs (PHP) are outpatient programs structured and designed for those needing a higher level of care but who do not require 24-hour inpatient care. PHPs are short-term, full-day treatment designed to build skills and gain stability.
Intensive Outpatient Program
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) provide the structure and frequency found in inpatient programs, but do not require 24-hour inpatient care. IOPs are designed for those in need of more support than once-weekly therapy. In a supportive environment that includes individual treatment planning, our team helps patients develop skills, attitudes and behaviors for living a healthy life.
Outpatient Group Services
Outpatient group services allow individuals with mental health diagnoses to get care without having to be admitted to a hospital or treatment facility. It includes services like counseling, group therapy, medical consultations or psychiatry during regularly scheduled sessions. We offer this option for those who don’t need 24/7 care.
Outpatient Psychotherapy Services
Main Line HealthCare Behavioral Health Services is a practice located on Bryn Mawr Hospital’s campus that providers compassionate psychotherapy, also referred to as talk therapy, to address behavioral health needs. Offerings at this practice include psychotherapy and assessments for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Our trained experts apply a variety of evidence-based techniques, and establish targeted treatment goals, to help patients find relief from distress, identify solutions to alleviate specific issues and modify behaviors to achieve better outcomes.
