Position Overview

Lankenau Medical Center is seeking experienced and passionate OB/GYN Faculty Members to join our esteemed residency program. With a cohort of 16 residents, and over 25 volunteer faculty members, this role offers a unique opportunity to blend clinical practice with resident education, shaping the future of obstetrics and gynecology.

Location: Lankenau Medical Center, Wynnewood, PA (Philadelphia suburbs)

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Practice (0.7 FTE)

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal, delivery, postpartum care, and gynecologic surgeries
  • Participate in labor and delivery coverage, including on-call responsibilities
  • Conduct outpatient consultations and follow-up visits
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Call not to exceed 1:6/7

Educational Duties (0.3 FTE)

  • Serve as a preceptor for residents, offering hands-on training and mentorship in clinical and surgical settings
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the residency curriculum under direction of the residency program director in compliance with ACGME standards
  • Conduct educational sessions, including lectures, case discussions, and simulation training
  • Evaluate resident performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publications, and conference presentations

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification/eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Commitment to teaching and mentoring residents
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience a plus but not required
