System Director of Echo and Non-Invasive Imaging Physician Employment Opportunities

Position overview

Main Line Healthcare is seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Echo and Non-Invasive Imaging to lead and advance our imaging services across our 4-hopsital system. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our echocardiography and non-invasive imaging departments, ensuring the highest standards of diagnostic excellence and patient care.

Reports To: System Chief of Cardiovascular Division

Key responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance the delivery of echocardiographic services throughout the healthcare system, aligning with the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Operational oversight: Manage the daily operations of the echo and non-invasive imaging departments, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Quality and compliance: Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, safety standards, and quality control protocols. Monitor and improve departmental performance through regular audits and evaluations.
  • Technology integration: Oversee the implementation and utilization of advanced imaging technologies. Stay updated with industry advancements to continuously integrate the latest innovations.
  • Team development: Recruit, train, and mentor a skilled team of imaging professionals. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Patient care: Ensure that all imaging procedures are performed with a focus on patient comfort and diagnostic accuracy. Address patient concerns and ensure optimal care standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cardiologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and imaging requirements.
  • Research and academic development: Support and participate in research initiatives related to non-invasive imaging. Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement with existing attendings and cardiology fellows.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Cardiology
  • Level III Echo Certified
  • 3 Years experience in a accredited lab
  • Valid Pennsylvania Medical License and DEA
  • Advanced Imaging Fellowship preferred
  • Extensive experience in echocardiography and non-invasive imaging techniques, with proven leadership experience in a clinical setting
  • Strong understanding of imaging technologies, clinical protocols, and quality assurance practices
  • Excellent physician and staff leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
