I am passionate about trying to provide outstanding care to my patients. My goal is to help each patient to feel as healthy and well as possible, and I encourage my patients to take an active role in achieving this goal. I believe in forming honest and respectful partnerships with my patients and their families. I also take seriously my own responsibility to be educated on the most current diagnostics and treatments of lung disease, so that I can offer the highest level of care to my patients.

About

Leah Lande, MD

Dr. Lande specializes in the treatment of a wide range of pulmonary diseases. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1997, after which she completed an Internal Medicine Residency and Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. She was named Chief Resident in the Department of Medicine at Cornell, and went on to serve on the faculty there as an Assistant Professor of Medicine. Dr. Lande came to Lankenau Medical Center in 2006, where she cares for patients in the outpatient pulmonary office, performs pulmonary consultations in the hospital, and works in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research and the Associate Program Director for the Lankenau Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Program. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Lande has an active research program on the study of pulmonary Nontuberculous Mycobacterial infection, a chronic lung disease mostly affecting women age 65+ that is capable of causing irreversible lung damage and can be fatal when untreated. She has published several papers and given many presentations to local and national audiences on this topic. Leah Lande, MD, is a leading national expert on Nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM Dr. Lande has been awarded eight different teaching awards over the course of her career, has been elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and won the prestigious New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Medical College Department of Medicine C. Richard Bowman Memorial Award for human warmth, scientific endeavor, and dedication to medicine.
