Dr. Spencer Whealon is a board-certified Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine specialist. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal, Pulmonary, and Critical Care medicine. He attended Saint Joseph’s University and graduated with honors prior to attending the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he received his Osteopathic medical degree. He completed his training in Internal Medicine at Christiana Care Health System/Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Newark, DE and went on to pursue subspecialty training in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine at Lankenau Medical Center. He has a particular interest in lung cancer and is a member of the interventional pulmonary team with expertise in robotic navigational bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, and interventional bronchoscopy. He also has an interest in pulmonary embolism and serves on the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team for the Main Line Health System. In addition, he serves as the Associate Program Director of the Pulmonary & Critical Care medicine fellowship program at Lankenau Medical Center. He provides Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine services at both Lankenau Medical Center and Paoli Hospital. In his spare time, Dr. Whealon enjoys biking, fishing, hiking, and spending time at the Jersey shore with his family.
