Message from the program director
Dear Applicants and Future Colleagues,
Welcome, and thank you for considering our Psychiatry Residency Program!
Choosing a residency is an exciting and deeply personal decision. At our program, we offer not only a rigorous and well-rounded clinical education, but a supportive, inclusive environment where you will be challenged to grow into the best version of yourself — both professionally and personally.
What makes our program truly stand out is the breadth and quality of the experiences we offer. We are proud to have a renowned Women’s Peripartum Mental Health Program, providing residents with specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric conditions during pregnancy and postpartum. This unique opportunity allows you to work alongside experts in a rapidly growing and critically important field of psychiatry.
You will also train in our state-of-the-art psychiatric unit, designed with both patient care and learner experience in mind. With modern facilities and a multidisciplinary approach to treatment, this unit offers an ideal setting for immersive, hands-on learning. Our excellent staffing ratios ensure that you are well-supported in your clinical work, allowing you to focus on providing thoughtful, high-quality care while also protecting your time for learning and wellness.
As Program Director, I am continually inspired by our residents — their compassion, resilience, and commitment to growth. They are the heart of our program, and we take pride in fostering a culture of mentorship, collaboration, and mutual respect.
We are excited to share our program with you and cannot wait to meet the next generation of psychiatry leaders. This is more than just a training program — it is a community. And we hope you will become a part of it.
Warmly,
Brittni Jones, DO
