Number of Main Line Health physicians named to Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Doctors List continues to rise
544 physicians from across all specialties, selected by their peers, were named to the 2024 list
Bryn Mawr, PA — The number of Main Line Health physicians chosen by their peers to Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Doctors List continues to rise, reaching 544 in 2024.
The total represents an increase of 123 physicians from the 2023 Top Doctors list, twice as many as were added the previous year. Philadelphia Magazine publishes its list to help people find the best physicians throughout the region, seeking to drive better health outcomes through informed decision-making.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to see Main Line Health physicians represented in such high proportions on Philadelphia Magazine’s list,” said Jonathan Stallkamp, MD, Chief Medical Officer of Main Line Health. “Every day, we are driven to provide safe, high-quality, equitable and affordable treatment to the community we serve. This list validates the level of excellence in patient care we are achieving. It’s difficult to find words that adequately express the gratitude and admiration that I have for the more than 2,000 physicians across Main Line Health. It’s rewarding for patients to trust us with their health and wellness needs.”
Philadelphia Magazine partners with Castle Connolly, an independent healthcare research firm, to compile the Top Doctors list. Physicians throughout the region are selected across a wide array of specialties, such as cardiology, dermatology, gastroenterology and pediatrics. Overall, the magazine named 3,047 physicians to the list.
This year, in addition to Top Doctors, the magazine’s research firm for the first time identified Rising Stars — early-career physicians who are emerging leaders in the medical community. Included on the list are five Main Line Health physicians: Louis Argentine, MD, emergency medicine, Rina M. Weimann, MD, dermatology, Kaitlyn Ibrahim, MD, cardiovascular disease; and hospitalists Yousuf Bozai, DO, and Phillip Choi, MD.
