Neighbor to Neighbor: Main Line HealthCare OB/GYN at Bryn Mawr Hospital

Neighbor to Neighbor

When Crozer Health announced its closure, one of the most urgent needs left behind was access to obstetric and gynecologic care. For women in Delaware County, this meant longer travel times, delayed appointments and uncertainty about where to turn for trusted care.

To help fill this gap, Main Line Health welcomed many former Crozer physicians, nurses and staff — providing them with a new home where they could continue their commitment to patients. Among the recent hires are four physicians who now practice together at Main Line HealthCare OB/GYN at Bryn Mawr Hospital.

“Joining Main Line Health has allowed us to continue caring for patients who trust us,” said Elizabeth B. Louka, MD, one of the newly hired physicians. “We have worked side by side for years and being able to remain together as a team has been so important.”

For this team, staying together was just as important as staying connected to their patients. Joining Dr. Louka are, Yun-Lin Cheng, MD, Lloydia Reynolds, MD and Steven Troy, DO.

The practice at Bryn Mawr Hospital offers a full scope of women’s health and obstetric and gynecologic services, from family planning and prenatal care to advanced gynecologic surgery. The team also includes nurse practitioners and certified nurse midwives, all working together to care for women at every stage of life—whether that means addressing menstrual pain, treating bladder concerns, supporting emotional health or guiding adolescents through their first gynecologic visits.

“Our biggest goal was ensuring that the community’s most essential women’s health services remained available and accessible,” said Terri Fowler, Director of Women’s Health Practices at Main Line HealthCare. “We’re thrilled this team was able to transition to Main Line Health together.”
