Physical Therapy
What is physical therapy?
After surgery, injury or illness, regaining strength, mobility and endurance are the first steps to returning to everyday life. Because no one can do this alone, we offer an expert inpatient physical therapy (PT) and rehabilitation program at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital in Malvern as well as outpatient physical therapy at locations near you in the western suburbs of Philadelphia.
From your arrival at Bryn Mawr Rehab our team begins with an initial consultation that assesses your unique challenges, capabilities and goals. Each physical therapy and rehabilitation program is individually designed and administered by a licensed PT who consistently guides you from that first visit all the way through recovery.
Whether it's physical rehab for the back, neck, hips or knees, or treatment for an on-the-job injury, or even aquatic therapy, we take a creative approach, often using specialized training equipment to meet a range of needs. We also follow up with an easy-to-use, written home exercise program that encourages you to continue and maintain long-term recovery.
From an after-school mishap to a serious illness, many people of all ages and backgrounds need help regaining everyday function, on the job, at school or at home. We provide PT and rehab for patients with a range of needs, including:
- Multi-trauma recovery
- Orthopaedic rehabilitation
- Sports injury
- Vestibular rehabilitation
- Work injury
