Surgical Oncology
Board certified since 2023
As a cancer surgeon, I believe patients do best with an evidence-based, team approach to cancer treatment that recognizes every patient and every cancer is different. I also believe a surgeon-patient relationship is built on mutual trust and respect, and it is my responsibility to earn that trust. I want my patients to feel like they are being treated as a member of my family and to know I will be with them throughout their difficult journey.
Dr. Morano is a surgical oncologist (cancer surgeon) at Lankenau Medical Center. He has advanced training and experience in the treatment of many cancers, including cancers of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, appendix, colon, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, skin, and breast, as well as less common cancers such as soft tissue sarcomas and peritoneal surface malignancies—rare and complex tumors that form in the abdominal lining. Dr. Morano is highly skilled in the use of minimally invasive and robotic approaches to cancer surgery and chooses a less invasive option whenever possible. Before joining Main Line Health, he was an assistant professor of surgery in the division of surgical oncology at Louisiana State University Health.
