Main Line Health’s first in-house Psychiatry Residency Program location opens at Bryn Mawr Hospital
Main Line Health celebrated an important milestone with the opening of a new, centralized location for our first in-house Psychiatry Residency Program. Located in the Founder’s Building at 101 S. Bryn Mawr Ave., the new suite brings together our psychology and psychotherapy group, and our psychiatry residents who transitioned to Main Line Health after the closure of Crozer Health. By creating a centralized location for the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited program, we are creating a cohesive and collaborative environment that supports both learning and patient care.
Main Line Health’s residency programs offer meaningful, hands-on experience that prepares physicians to meet the needs of the communities we serve. The curriculum for the Psychiatry Residency Program includes rotations across inpatient and outpatient care and various specialties, including addiction, child and adolescent, consultation-liaison, geriatric, emergency psychiatry and more.
The team supporting this new chapter took shape in the spring when the residency program transitioned to Main Line Health. Led by Program Director, Brittni Jones, DO, the suite hosts eight psychologists and psychotherapists, and five resident psychiatrists — Kenneth Wee, PGY4: Robert Duprey, PGY4: Asa Thompson, PGY3: Reema Patel, PGY3; and Zita Jones, PGY3. The new location officially opened on December 8 and they are accepting new patients.
This new dedicated space for the Psychiatry Residency Program advances Main Line Health’s growth strategy and expands access to high-quality care that’s close to home. Thank you to everyone whose support helped bring this important milestone to life.
