About
Ravichandra A. Madineni, MD
Connecting one-on-one with my patients and giving them my full attention is important to me and it's what I enjoy most about my work. I'm also excited by new developments in my field, particularly motion-preserving surgeries with total disc replacement for spine disorders. With these advances in technology and techniques, we are able to avoid fusion, which limits movement, and help patients recover with optimal range of motion. I'm also deeply committed to providing treatment options that alleviate the need for opioids. I've recently written a paper on this topic and will continue to seek out the sources of pain for my patients while introducing therapies and procedures that minimize the need for long-term use of opioid medication. When I'm not seeing patients, I enjoy playing cricket and watching Formula One racing. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Madineni serves as the Main Line Health System Chief of Neurosurgery, leading an expert team of Main Line Health - Jefferson Neurosurgeons, as well as the Co-Medical Director of the Neurosciences Service Line, partnering with service line leadership to advance the strategic priorities of the system.
