Lankenau Heart Institute launching program for ventricular assist devices

The Advanced Heart Failure Program at Lankenau Heart Institute, part of Main Line Health, is expanding to include Left-Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) services after receiving accreditation. The LVAD program will offer patients with severe heart failure an advanced treatment option that helps pump blood from the lower chambers of the heart to the rest of the body, potentially improving quality of life and increasing longevity. It is a significant milestone in the institute’s ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive, state-of-the-art care for patients with end-stage heart failure.

Nahiem Rodriguez named to fellowship for corporate education professionals

Nahiem Rodriguez, Program Manager of Specialty Talent Development at Main Line Health, is among those accepted into the second cohort of the Education and Career Mobility Fellowship sponsored by UpSkill America of the Aspen Institute and Guild. The development program is designed to support corporate education professionals in their efforts to build effective programs, connect opportunities and create positive outcomes for employees across the workforce and the businesses that employ them.

Hans Liu, MD, elected to scientific research society

Hans Liu, MD, a Bryn Mawr Hospital infectious disease specialist, was elected during the summer to Sigma Xi, the international honor society of science and engineering.
