Paoli Hospital's trauma center maintains high state and national rankings for risk-adjusted mortality rate

Paoli Hospital's trauma center continues to be recognized as a leader in trauma care. It is ranked first in the state and sixth in the nation with the lowest risk-adjusted mortality rate based on data submitted to the American College of Surgeons' Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP).

Published quarterly, over 500 trauma programs submit data on trauma patients' care and outcomes to the TQIP national registry. Data are analyzed to create a statistical model predicting the likelihood of mortality for trauma patients based on their injuries and clinical condition.
