Dr. Rodriguez is a board-certified Cardiothoracic surgeon with the Lankenau Heart Institute, boasting over 15 years of expertise in treating structural heart (valvular) disease and aortic conditions using minimally invasive and endovascular techniques. He earned his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University, a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and his medical degree from Tufts University. Subsequently, he completed his general surgery training at Robert Wood Johnson, followed by a cardiothoracic fellowship at Harvard Medical School and a specialized fellowship in aortic/endovascular surgery at Harvard Medical School. Recruited by Main Line Health/Lankenau Medical Center, Dr. Rodriguez currently specializes in performing minimally invasive structural (valves) heart and endovascular procedures. Serving as the System Surgical Director for the Structural Heart Program at Main Line Health, he leads a collaborative team composed of interventional cardiologists, noninterventional cardiologists, and cardiac surgeons in the clinic. The clinic adopts a team-based approach to address all valvular diseases, utilizing a diverse set of tools tailored to individualized treatments. Recognizing the significance of experience in achieving improved outcomes, Dr. Rodriguez emphasizes the benefits of high procedure volumes and the wealth of experience within the team to tackle complex problems effectively. Actively engaged in advancing medical knowledge, he participates in and leads numerous clinical trials. Dr. Rodriguez's contributions extend to multiple peer-reviewed medical journal articles, presentations, and lectures at national meetings, along with the authorship of several cardiothoracic book chapters.
