Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Addiction Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide medical oversight and psychiatric care for our patients, ensuring the delivery of exceptional treatment and support.
Employment Type: Part-Time (0.75 FTE)
Facility: Mirmont Treatment Center, a 90-bed inpatient drug and alcohol treatment center
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical oversight for the inpatient drug and alcohol facility
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management for patients
- Supervise and mentor student residents, contributing to their education and professional development
- Collaborate with other departments to address patient issues and ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Engage in continuous quality improvement processes to enhance patient outcomes
- Time split: .5 clinical, .25 administrative.
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Psychiatry
- Fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry preferred, but candidates with substantial addiction experience will be considered
- Valid medical license to practice in Pennsylvania
- Strong clinical skills and experience in managing addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Dedication to patient-centered care and evidence-based practices
